Mr. Delwar Hossain Managing Partner | Advocates IP Law Alliance
Mr. Delwar Hossain is the Managing Partner of Advocates IP Law Alliance and leads the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice in Bangladesh. He was enrolled as an Advocate of the District Court, Dhaka in 1992 and the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 1995.
With more than three decades of professional experience, Mr. Hossain specializes in Intellectual Property, Corporate, Commercial, and Business Law. He advises and represents a diverse portfolio of renowned international and domestic clients across sectors including pharmaceuticals, education, tobacco, fashion, healthcare equipment, entertainment, broadcasting, and consumer brands.
Mr. Hossain has extensive experience in trademark protection, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, IP litigation, portfolio management, and strategic legal advisory services. He has successfully formulated litigation and alternative dispute resolution strategies and has coordinated numerous enforcement actions and market raids on behalf of global and local rights holders.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Hossain serves as a Notary Public of Bangladesh. He is also a leading contributor to internationally recognized publications and organizations, including INTA, Trademarks Throughout the World (Thomson Reuters Publication) and AIPPI of Japan.
Mr. Hossain is the designated representative and associated member of several leading international intellectual property organizations, including APAA Japan, AIPPI Switzerland, ECTA Switzerland, FICPI Switzerland, INTA USA, LESI Singapore, and MARQUES UK. He is also a Leading Associate of Brandstock AG, Germany.
